World Bible Status Update

Hey everyone!
A quick status update for you.
The world bible is big. It's really, really big. It covers thousands of years of history, integrates information from hundreds of fans and backers, and is going to weigh (not literally) a ton.
It's like we set out to write a clever little guide to the Third Age of Middle Earth and ended up with The Silmarillion.
So, the draft was completed and went to the editor in November/December. We figured it would take a couple of weeks. TURNS OUT, The Silmarillion (or in this case, the Fartherall World Bible) covers thousands of years of history, etc. So editing, review, and revisions are going WAY SLOWER than anticipated. Because SURPRISE, that much history has all kinds of little fiddly bits that need to sync up JUST SO. Ask the revered shade of Christopher Tolkien. He knows.
For example, can dragons travel on a mountain in the Fourth Age that was prohibited to them in the Second Age? Inquiring minds (our editor) WANT TO KNOW. And we're locking Matt Vancil to his desk until he answers.
Will the end result be worth it? Oh gods yes. Will it be hundreds of pages of text with minimal illustrations, so we can fit all the text in? (Did we mention that it's over 300,000 words?) Yes, it will be all the text. ALL THE TEXT.
In short—the ONLY thing about this book that's short—this world bible is massive AF. And we're making sure that it's beautifully written, edited, revised, designed, laid out, and printed, because Quality Matters.
Soooo........ we're hard at work and status remains In Editing.

P.S. We don't typically do physical fulfillment in stages because it wouldn't be fair to the backers who have to wait for everything to be done, but in this case, would anyone object if we shipped discs to backers who aren't receiving physical world bibles? If you're receiving both and you don't mind waiting, we'd love to take care of the disc-only backers. Let us know!

Wait, what is JourneyQuest 3.5?
As promised, this campaign funded the scenes from Seasons 3 and 4 that were too complicated or expensive to shoot otherwise. These scenes will be edited into Season 4 (if the campaign succeeds).
We're thrilled that we were given the opportunity to tell this part of the story and look forward to when it's edited, in context, into a complete narrative. Thank you for making 3.5 possible!
JourneyQuest World Bible
Writer Matt Vancil is hard at work writing the last pieces of the stretch-goal expanded JourneyQuest World Bible. As of this weekend, Matt received the last survey answers from our $100+ backer hero submissions for inclusion in the World Bible. This is the official world bible inclusion cut-off after many updates and emails to backers who hadn't completed their surveys. No more late replies for world bible inclusion will be accepted.
Once writing is complete, the world bible will go off to editing and layout and then to our manufacturer for printing. We are anticipating fulfillment of physical and PDF world bibles by the fall and we thank you for your continued patience.
JourneyQuest 3.5 DVDs and BluRays
The DVD and Blu-Ray discs have been authored and are now with the duplication house. The DVD master has been tested and approved and the Blu-ray is being printed and tested now. We are excited to share with you the design for the DVD and BluRay covers.
Shipping Update
Thanks for your feedback on the last update regarding shipping preferences!
Given the passionate replies we saw in comments and in private messages, it sounds like a number of backers who pledged for the physical world bible or higher feel strongly about waiting for the books to be complete. We're also working with BackerKit to see if there's a way to opt-in to splitting shipments and will keep you updated!
JourneyQuest 4 - Kickstarter ends on Friday, July 12th
When we asked you on a prior update if we should wait to fund JQ4 or go now, the overwhelming response that we heard from backers was to Kickstart it now. So that's exactly what we're doing!
JourneyQuest season 4 connects all the scenes you saw in JourneyQuest 3.5 with the larger JourneyQuest narrative, but we need your help to make this project a reality!
We are in the last days of our JourneyQuest 4 Kickstarter and are still under our funding goal. If you have pledged to the JQ4 campaign already - thank you, your continued support means the world to us! If you have not yet made a pledge and want to see the JourneyQuest story continue, you're invited to join us for Season Four.
If you would prefer to wait until 3.5 rewards have shipped, we'll give you an opportunity to participate in the JQ4 BackerKit after 3.5 fulfillment is complete. We understand and respect that some backers would prefer to wait and we'll make sure that you don't miss out on anything that you might want from that campaign. This is of course contingent on the Kickstarter succeeding.
